Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to fly for you, invoice you, and prove we did the work. We do not sell or rent information, and we do not run advertising trackers or use cookies to follow you around the web. We do use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages work, described in sections 2 and 3.

1. What we collect and why

• Booking details — your name, email address, phone number, the address of the property or site, the service and options chosen, and any notes you type. Needed to quote, schedule, fly, and deliver.
• Location data derived from the address — we convert the address into coordinates to calculate distance from our bases and to check FAA airspace. We do not collect your device's GPS location.
• Payment confirmation — when you pay, Stripe tells us the amount, the last four digits of the card, the name and email on the payment, and a transaction ID. We never receive or store your full card number.
• Correspondence — emails you exchange with us.
• Technical logs — our server keeps a short log of booking requests (confirmation number, service, address, email, timestamp) and standard web-server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting.
• Imagery — the photographs and video we capture on your booking, which may incidentally include neighbouring property, vehicles, or people. We do not fly over non-participating people and we blur or exclude identifiable individuals on request.

2. Who processes it on our behalf

• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing, invoices, receipts, and fraud prevention. Stripe's privacy policy.
• Hostinger — hosts this website and our email. Our servers and mailboxes are located in the United States and the European Union.
• U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder and Esri ArcGIS World Geocoder — receive the property address (only) to return coordinates.
• FAA UAS Facility Map (hosted by Esri) — receives the coordinates (only) to return the airspace ceiling.
• Leaflet / OpenStreetMap tiles — the small map on the booking page loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, which sees your IP address like any website you visit.
• Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) — measures how many people visit, which pages they read, and which steps of the booking wizard they complete. It receives your IP address (which we ask Google to anonymise), your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. It does not receive your name, email, phone number, or property address. Google's privacy policy.

Each of these receives only what its function needs. We do not share your information with anyone else except where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

3. Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising cookies and takes no part in ad networks or cross-site profiling. It does set Google Analytics cookies, which count a visit and recognise a returning browser so a session isn't counted twice. Those cookies tell us how many people came, from where, and how far they got in the booking wizard — they are not used to build an advertising profile of you, and we have not enabled Google's advertising features.

The booking page also stores your confirmation number in your browser's local storage so the thank-you page can display it; nothing is sent anywhere by that mechanism. Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies for fraud prevention, governed by Stripe's policy.

If you would rather not be measured at all, any browser's “do not track” or tracking-protection setting, a private window, or Google's Analytics opt-out add-on will stop it. Nothing on this site behaves differently if you do.

4. How long we keep it

• Booking records, invoices, and payment confirmations: 7 years, as required for tax and accounting.
• Imagery and deliverables: at least 12 months after delivery, then deleted at our discretion unless you ask us to keep or delete them sooner.
• Server and email logs: rolling 12 months.
• Thermal waitlist signups: until the service launches and you are notified, or until you ask to be removed.

5. Your choices

You can ask us at any time to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it (subject to the retention we are legally required to keep), or stop using your imagery in our portfolio. Email alain@blackboxaerial.pro with your confirmation number and we will respond within 30 days. Florida residents and residents of states with consumer-privacy laws may exercise the rights those laws provide through the same address; we do not sell personal information and have no "opt-out of sale" to process.

6. Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1). Our server stores booking records in a directory that is not web-accessible, all outbound email is authenticated (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and the accounts that control the site, hosting, email, and payments are protected by two-factor authentication.

7. Children

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes and contact
